Beer: Intergalactic Space Hopper
The brewer: Hardknott
Wow. What an intense flavour.
And not entirely – if at all – pleasant.
The bottle states: “Hoppy enough to bounce you off planets. Well rounded bitterness subtle enough for a low orbit around your palate…”
There is nothing subtle at all about this. Every taste is like biting into a lemon.
Sorry Hardknott, I genuinely can’t bring myself to even finish the bottle. Normally, I can find something of value in most beers, so while the bottle also states this is “unique”, I’m afraid it’s for the wrong reasons to my now screaming tastebuds.
Where in the North?
Millon, Cumbria, isn’t somewhere I’ve ever heard of before (there is a lot of the North that I have yet to visit). It’s a small coastal town on the edge of the Lake District and was built upon the industries of iron and steel.
If I visit, it won’t be for the beer. At least not based upon this one.
